So like many people, Target is my jam when it comes to decor! Well and let’s be honest it’s my jam for pretty much everything else too. It’s so great because you can get so many affordable and stylish pieces.  My current favorite target decor pieces are ones that really make a difference yet can stand the test over time without having to swap them out. Target Decor Pieces and some other favorites I am so in love with my front porch this season! Most of it is because of this adorable Home Sweet Home Doormat. They have so many cute doormats and for great prices. I will also link my cute mug and the mat layered underneath. These are some of the most timeless pieces I have in this spot of my house. This round mirror can be used in so many ways! I have seen it over…
Well you got to love Target for having alll the things! Ran in to get a couple things for the kids and next thing I knew I found all these cute pieces and was doing a try on 😉 For this Target try on I focused on a lot of separates and pieces that can be layered since the weather is still a bit transitional. In Michigan we are still seeing several seasons in one day haha! Everything is linked at the bottom of the post! And if you want even more spring looks check out my Spring Amazon Haul! May Target Try On First up is this cute palm print sweatshirt and crop jeans! This sweatshirt is a great medium weight and has a little bit of a cropped look so will work perfect with shorts as well. Loved the fit of these cropped jeans. They have some…
The very first look I knew I wanted to bring with me to NYC were these flares. They are so so cute and prefect for the city. I also did not want to go without this hat for this look. It was a non negotiable for it. Turns out it was one of the best pieces I brought since it rained almost the entire time I was there. I immediately loved these black flare jeans for a few reasons. One is that they are super comfy and have a good amount of stretch. Another reason is that they practically go with anything! And last but most important is that they are only $32! Any cute look is always that much better when its a deal. Right?! My hat was also a steal at $16 and I also have it in the tan color – both are just so cute!…
Over spring break last week our plans fell through and the weather was not good. We wanted to do a little project but one that didn’t take up too much time so we decided to do a little hallway makeover. I have been wanting to paint our hallway for months now! When we moved into our house we renovated our entire first floor and did a few updates and painting in the bedrooms. But for some reason never painted and cleaned up the hallway. Fast forward almost 2 years and there were A LOT of finger prints from the kids all over the walls. We have a little nook in the landing/hallway and I wanted to add a little something to the space to make more of another area in the house rather than just a hall. This post contains affiliate links. Feeling all the spring vibes even though its still a little cold here in Michigan. Ok its still really cold but I’m getting ready for when the weather cooperates. I haven’t done a big amazon shop in awhile so thought I would share my spring amazon haul and all my good finds. Spring Amazon Haul First up are these paper bag waist shorts! These are super cute and comfy. They will definitely be on repeat this summer. I love them since they are a pull on you can adjust them based where you like them to sit on your waist. These slides are a great dupe of a more expensive pair and fit great right from the start. I love this hat for the summer! I have a few big beach hats but this one is better for when I have to run around with the kids. Every piece…
A couple weeks ago my little Lily turned 3! We love having get togethers and parties at our house and Lily really wanted something special this year. Having a party is so much fun but sometimes all the details can get away from me and theres always something I forget. Of course that leaves for a frantic last minute trip to the store which just causes more craziness on party day! So when I had the opportunity to work with Sprinkles and Confetti to create a custom party box for our princess party I was beyond excited. *This is a sponsored post. Sprinkles and confetti supplied party supplies in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own Ordering the party box The process was really fun and EASY! They have many pre made party boxes to choose from or you can do a custom box – which…
Every season I am always battling with dry skin but just in different ways. Through the winter and colder months its obviously at its worst but even the change of seasons really tends to be somewhat problematic. Over the years I have compiled what my favorites are for combating my dry skin in every area of my skincare routine. Since I have tried so many I thought I would share my go to’s so you can skip over the trial and error phase that I had to do. Dry skin must haves So lets break it down by areas of concern. Moisturizer The obvious place to start for battling dry skin is to find the right moisturizer. I have more recently found IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream and it has been a great remedy. I love that its super hydrating, soaks in but still has a little dewy…
If you read my focuses for 2019 you will have noticed that one of them was to start making changes to my life and home that are healthier for my family. I feel that I already do many things that are good for us and our environment but I believe the goal is to constantly be trying to improve and make changes for the better. The first healthy home swap I wanted to make was to switch to using wool dryer balls. I have wanted to this for a long time now! When I found Friendsheep I knew this was the way to go. Friendsheep provided me this product for my honest review. All opinions are my own.  Wool Dryer Balls Making the switch to wool dryer balls is a great healthy home swap for many reasons. First and foremost you are not using and throwing away dryer sheets every…
Ever met anyone who always gets red in the face? Well if you haven’t, now you have because that is me. It could be anything; I’m happy, mad, nervous and don’t forget mostly if I’m speaking in front of a group. Yikes! But I have learned some ways of how to be more outgoing and to push past those tendencies. Shop the look I am a naturally shy and somewhat introverted person. I know what you are thinking. So you started a blog?? My thoughts too. I have always loved meeting new people, sharing ideas and helping others. That is also in my nature. But sometimes it’s just hard to get passed the part of me that gets completely embarrassed when attention is on me. So I had to learn how to more outgoing. Think what you will gain. Often all it takes is reminding ourselves of what positive…
Getting out and having a date night is so much fun for us! I really am happy to just go out and do something together. In the end its about having fun! Plan an activity It could be something as simple as going for a hike or your favorite sport together. Things are always more fun when you are being…
