A couple weeks ago my little Lily turned 3! We love having get togethers and parties at our house and Lily really wanted something special this year. Having a party is so much fun but sometimes all the details can get away from me and theres always something I forget. Of course that leaves for a frantic last minute trip to the store which just causes more craziness on party day! So when I had the opportunity to work with Sprinkles and Confetti to create a custom party box for our princess party I was beyond excited.

Ordering the party box
The process was really fun and EASY! They have many pre made party boxes to choose from or you can do a custom box – which is what I chose to do. And they make boxes for every kind of party whether its a birthday, shower, ladies night, holidays etc. You go through and answer questions and plug in as much info as you know. It only took me about 10 minutes to do so. The main thing I knew was that she wanted to do a princess theme and I let the party stylist determine the rest. So you can go into a custom box having a lot or very few ideas of what you want and they will make it work! Once you do this part the party stylist assigned to your party gets to work curating your party for you and then sends you a design proposal which was really cool!
My favorite part about doing this is that they literally think of EVERYTHING! From the little things to table cloths to extras like additional decor or photo props. My favorite thing that my party stylist asked is if there were little boys we needed party favors for instead of just the crowns for the girls – so we swapped out some of the crowns for foam swords! That was a huge deal because I would have totally remembered that last minute and they were a big hit 🙂 They cover every detail and have great communication to ensure your order is just what you need. *Make sure when doing this you do it enough time in advance for them to curate and ship to you, ideal timing is about 1 month prior to your party – so right after the invites are sent!
My party box arrives!
About 2 weeks before the party our custom party arrived! All through the process I had good communication with Sprinkles and Confetti and knew my box was on its way. Everything we needed for the party arrived perfectly and we were so excited!
I honestly didn’t have to do really anything until the week of since all the errand running and shopping was done in one party box! I picked up the food and cake and we were ready for the day of the party! If you need a great appetizer idea check out my 7 layer dip!
Princess party set up
Bringing out the plates, cups, napkins and cute gold forks.
Next we set up our little table and the decorations. Finishing it with our crowns, swords and little suckers with an adorable custom tag.
I decided kind of last minute since I had some extra balloons that I wanted to make balloon garland! It was surprisingly not that hard and didn’t take as long as I thought. Now it didn’t turn out perfect but pretty good for the first time around so thought I’d share a breakdown.
You will want to blow your balloons up to be a few different sizes. I suggest some kind of pump as I blew them up individually myself which took a little time. Start with the large ones and attach them to a string (whatever you have should work fine) I used some white thread I had. You can take a plastic sewing needle to thread through the tie or just knot around the base of the tie. I kept them close enough that they were touching when lined up. I made my base about 14 large balloons.
Once I had the base of a single line strung I hung it up to finish assembling. I attached 2 command hooks to the wall to hang it and they easily removed after the party was over. You want the rest of your balloons to be medium and small to piece them in. I used a low temp hot glue gun to do it. Its perfect for things like balloons and flowers etc. So I just finished piecing it together by filling in with the remaining balloons and added a few faux flower pieces I had. I glued the large #3 to the side and tada it was done! It probably took me an hour overall.
The biggest hit of the party were these adorable Disney Princess photo props which were also part of the total package included in my custom party box! This is something that was suggested as an additional item that I picked and so glad I did. It was a great addition. They were just the cutest and the kids and adults had so much fun with them. My kids were still using them the week after. We also had a face painting kit that I had so we used that as well. Between those 2 items and the swords all the kids were well occupied!
It was such a great experience working with Sprinkles and Confetti to curate my daughters princess party. I loved working with another mom owned business to bring this vision to life. I cannot express how much running around and time I saved by doing this. My other favorite part about this company is that they donate a portion of their proceeds to The Birthday Party Project to bring joy to children in homeless and transitional shelters through the magic of birthdays! Such an amazing organization to contribute to!
