One of my favorite parts when we are renovating is coming up with a vision and creating design boards for a space. And it quickly became a favorite thing to share here and on my social media. Over time I would just create them for different types of spaces to share inspiration.
There are so many ways having a design board is helpful when working to create a room. From details such as seeing the color scheme come together or making sure a piece of furniture works with the other items in the space. Another important part I like to add are the finishing details like paint color, wall paper, flooring, hardware etc. These pieces are an important part of the overall look in addition to the furniture and decor. This way you can really see the space take shape.
Here are a couple of my past favorite boards I’ve created. This office design is simple in concept but the wall moulding layered with artwork adds some fun dimension. And the kitchen design below has a great neutral base but you can see how the accessories make all the difference with the brass fixtures and pop of color with the runner.

You can also find some more design boards on my LTK and in past post like Design Boards and Life Lately
This entryway is my newest addition to my design boards and I love the modern rustic feel it has. But also doing some simple swaps like changing the artwork or a light fixture could totally change the space. So feel free to take these as inspiration and put your own spin on it. The paint color here is Evergreen Fog by Sherwin Williams.
