Well I’m finally showing off our master bathroom reveal from the renovation we did! The renovation was actually complete earlier this fall but we had some finishing touches I wanted to wrap up before sharing the final look. Overall I am so happy and excited with how it turned out! The look and feel is exactly how I was wanting it to be. All my sources are linked at the end of the post.
Tile
The tile was our first and one of the biggest decisions we had to make, especially because so much of the space is covered in it. I love the look of a light bright tile and wanted it to feel modern but still cozy. We ended up getting all of our tile from The Tile Shop. I absolutely loved their selection and the team there was always very helpful throughout the process. Our flooring in the shower and the main bathroom are both the San Dona in a honed finish (essentially making it matte looking). The shower floor is a hex pattern and the main floor is a rectangular tile laid in a herringbone pattern. The shower walls are a classic subway tile.
Vanity and fixtures
In the vanity area I love the combination of these farmhouse style lights with these more modern gold mirrors. Our plumbing fixtures for the shower and sinks are all by Kingston Brass. I really wanted matte black and as I was researching where I could find them I realized the options seemed a bit limited, especially at a price point in our budget. These were a great find and I love the look and quality. The vanity itself was a bit of a rollercoaster! The first one we ordered that was different arrived with the counter top cracked. When we went to reorder a new one I decided to push for this natural wood one rather than the white we originally got. The white one was fine but I loved how the wood color broke up the space and made it feel a little warmer. It actually turned out just as I was hoping.
My original plan was to put floating shelves above the toilet – and I am still planning on it someday soon. But we just ran out of spare time so I found this pretty art that I am using for now to finish off the space.
Heres a little peek at the before and some other angles of the finished look!

What size is your shower? I love it.
Thank you! It’s 41” x 59” on the outside but the shower floor is 34” x 53”. We just made it as big as we could in the space we had. We love it!
Hi Danielle, this bathroom is beautiful! What grout color/brand did you use for the subway tile, and did you use the same grout for the subway walls, the shower floor and bathroom floor? Currently working on my own bathroom renovation and we are doing subway in the shower floor to ceiling and then potentially an accent wall of subway tile above some wainscoting behind the vanity and toilet. Grout changes the look so much – and it’s challenging to visualize the end result with the tiny samples. Thanks in advance.
Thank you so much!! Our grout color is Charcoal from The Tile Shop. And yes it’s the same color throughout the bathroom. I agree the samples are so small it’s hard to visualize an entire space! Hope that helps and good luck on the renovation! It sounds like it will be beautiful 😍
Did you stain your vanity?
The vanity came already stained 😊
Gorgeous results! It hard to tell from the photos but did you change the overall layout of the bathroom? We are trying to come up with ideas to renovate our master bath. We may have to change the layout but scared it will push us way over our budget.
Thank you so much! We changed the layout a little bit. The shower and vanity are essentially in the same spot. The wall across from them we pushed out about a foot and changed where the door was located so we could move the toilet to that wall. Giving space to make the vanity a double. It took like 30 tries to figure out the best layout. The cost all depends what changes you make. Try a bunch of different scenarios and talk to a plumber because that will be a big deciding factor on where things can go 😊 hope that helps!
Hi there. This is beautiful. Where did you get the shower glass and was it custom made? I have a similar set up and want to know where to get the glass.
Hi! Thank you so much. We had a local glass company make it. They came and measured and it was pretty easy and not to expensive.
