Every season I am always battling with dry skin but just in different ways. Through the winter and colder months its obviously at its worst but even the change of seasons really tends to be somewhat problematic. Over the years I have compiled what my favorites are for combating my dry skin in every area of my skincare routine. Since I have tried so many I thought I would share my go to’s so you can skip over the trial and error phase that I had to do.
Dry skin must haves
So lets break it down by areas of concern.
Moisturizer
The obvious place to start for battling dry skin is to find the right moisturizer. I have more recently found IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream and it has been a great remedy. I love that its super hydrating, soaks in but still has a little dewy feel and almost has a balm like consistency but not too heavy or greasy. I’ve also bee using the eye cream and loving that too. My makeup always goes on very smooth when I use this. My other favorite holy grail of moisturizers is Creme De La Mer. Now with this product comes a hefty price tag. If price was no object this would be my go to every time but thats not realistic. But I will say that I do always keep this on hand. It has this way of calming my skin down when I am having any issues. So I use it here and there as a special use on occasion.
Lips
My favorite product I have discovered earlier this year is the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask! This product is amazing and feels great on the lips. You apply a thick layer at bed time and wake up with super soft and hydrated lips. Plus the jar lasts forever! Great bang for the buck. This would be a nice gift to give a beauty product lover. For everyday use I have been obsessed with my Nars Lip Balm. It is so smooth and hydrating but is just a step better than your average balm. It is almost somewhere between a balm and gloss and looks nice on.
Face Masks
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask is such an amazing product. You can use it as an overnight mask or as a treatment mask during the day. Adding a mask in here and there to help give your skin a boost is a great way to give your skin some relief.
Hands
Now for hands I actually have an entire post about my favorite hand creams for dry hands. But another great treatment is to use a hand mask. They are perfect for a little self care day and some pampering. Plus its hard to do much with them on so you are forced to just sit and relax 😉
