Pomegranate Margarita
You may have noticed by now that Margaritas are one of my favorite drinks to make and serve. I love to put seasonal spins on it through the year so for the holidays I started making these Pomegranate Margaritas and they are delish! They will be great for the holidays, New Years or anytime throughout the winter.
The base is similar to my Fresh Lime Margarita with a couple changes. The addition of a cinnamon stick is a good balance of warmth with the sweetness of the pomegranate. It’s super easy and fun!
Pomegranate Margarita Recipe
- 3/4 cup Pomegranate Juice
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 TBSP honey
- 1-2 ounces tequila
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Sugar
Start by running half of the lime around the rim of the glass. Put a thin layer of sugar on a small plate and dip the rim of the glass in the sugar to coat. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
Juice the lime into a shaker and add the honey to it. Take a spoon and stir well so the honey is incorporated into the lime juice. Add the pomegranate juice and tequila and shake well. Pour into the prepared glass and add in the cinnamon stick, give it a stir to add some flavor in. Makes 2 servings. Enjoy!
*if you prefer a salt rim you can do that instead but the sugar seems to work better with this drink in my opinion
